Do you need to be a citizen to open an account?
No, you do not need to be a citizen to open an account at ANSA Bank. However, in additional to the
regular documents to open an account, foreign nationals also require:
- 2 Forms of National Identification (With Picture)
- Proof of Employment in Trinidad must be accompanied by a valid work permit/CSME certificate or residency certificate.
- A banker’s reference from Country of origin is needed if customer has no local financial history
- FATCA W-8BEN/W-9 Form (For US Persons), Social Security Number
What is the maximum term for a Mortgage loan?
The maximum term is 30 years, however the applicant’s age cannot exceed age 65
Do you provide 100% financing for vehicle loans?
You may qualify for 100% financing for the purchase of a new vehicle and up to 90% financing for
Used or Roll on Roll Off vehicles, subject to our lending terms and conditions.
What is the maximum term for a vehicle loan?
The maximum loan term is 7 years (84 months), however the terms vary dependent on the vehicle.
Typically used vehicles would have a shorter term and attract a slightly higher interest rate than a

How long do I have to be working to be eligible for a loan?
You would need to be working for at least two (2) years in order to be eligible for a loan. Preferably,
you should be working two (2) continuous years with the same employer but if not, consideration
can only be given based on other qualifying criteria.
Do I need to assign my salary to my ANSA Bank account if I have an active loan?
When you apply for a loan, your approval may be subject to specific terms and conditions which may
include assignment of part or your full salary to your ANSA Bank Account.

How long is a salary slip valid?
When submitting proof of income, you can use a recent payslip within the last three (3) months.
How long does it take to get a debit card?
After opening an account at ANSA Bank, your ANSA Bank debit card will be ready for collection
within two (2) days.
Can I use my debit card at another bank’s ATM?
Yes, you may access funds from your account at another Bank’s ATM machine at no cost to you.
Can I use my debit card at a Point of Sale Merchant?
Yes, you can make Point of Sale purchases at any Merchant to pay for your goods and services at no
cost to you.
